Need more data, less data, or just a different kind of plan? You can switch between RoamLink plans at any time, and in most cases you can keep using the SIM card you already have. This article covers how our plans compare, how to request a change, and what to expect on your bill.
How the RoamLink plans compare
| Plan | Data | Best for | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core | 20, 50 or 100GB/month | Predictable, lighter use on a budget | Unused data doesn't roll over. Top-ups aren't available, so upgrade a tier if you need more. |
| Flex | 20, 50 or 100GB/month | Usage that changes month to month | Unused data rolls over (up to 3 months' worth). Top-ups are available any time in the RoamLink portal. |
| Infinity | Unlimited | Full-time RVers, streaming, remote work | Network-managed. Speeds may be reduced during heavy network congestion. |
| Velocity | Unlimited | Heavy users who sometimes need top speed | Includes Velocity Mode, which you turn on in the portal to temporarily bypass network management. Each session lasts up to 24 hours and uses your Velocity data balance. |

I'm on an older (legacy) RoamLink plan
Plans purchased before April 2026, such as RoamLink M20, M50, M100, M300, M500, MUnlimited and the original RoamLink Unlimited, are legacy plans. You can keep your legacy plan as long as it stays active. A few things to weigh before switching:
- Most legacy plans have less network management than the newer plans. For some customers, that's a reason to stay put.
- Switching is one-way. Legacy plans are no longer sold, so once you move to a new plan you can't switch back.
- The newer plans offer features legacy plans don't, such as Flex rollover and top-ups or Velocity Mode.
Not sure which plan is closest to what you have now? Just ask. We're happy to check your account and recommend a match.
How to change your plan
Plan changes are handled by our team. Email us, chat with us, or call, and include:
- The email address on your account
- The plan you'd like to switch to
- Whether you want the change at your next renewal or effective today (see below)
We'll confirm the details and send you an email once the change has been made.
Next renewal or effective today?
At your next renewal (most popular)
You keep your current plan until the end of the billing cycle you've already paid for. On your renewal date, the new plan starts and you're charged the new plan's price. Nothing changes until then.
Effective today
The new plan starts right away. You're charged the full price of the new plan today, and a new billing cycle starts from today.
- Because our plans are prepaid, we can't prorate. Any days left on your current plan aren't refunded or credited.
- Top-up data on your current plan is lost when you switch.
Tip: Unless you need the new plan right away, for example because you're out of data, scheduling the change for your next renewal saves you money.
Do I need a new SIM card?
- No. As long as you are staying with RoamLink service, you keep your current SIM or eSIM.
Rollover (banked) data on Flex
- Unused Flex data rolls over automatically. You can bank up to 3 months' worth of your plan's data, including the current month. For example, a Flex 100GB plan can hold up to 300GB.
- Data above that cap expires automatically.
- If you downgrade to a smaller Flex plan, banked data above the new plan's cap is forfeited.
- Banked data is lost if the plan goes on Standby or is cancelled.
Top-ups (Flex plans only)
Running low before your renewal? Flex customers can buy extra data any time in the RoamLink portal:
- 20GB – $40
- 40GB – $80
- 60GB – $120
- A custom amount of 20GB or more – $2/GB
Top-up data is usually added within 5 minutes, is valid for 30 days, and is used before your monthly plan data. There's no limit on how many top-ups you can buy. For step-by-step instructions, see Adding top up data to RoamLink Flex plans.
Checking your usage
Log in to the RoamLink portal with the email address you used to buy your plan to see your current usage and plan details. If your plan doesn't appear, you may be logged in with a different email. Contact us and we'll help.
