Your options
When you're done using your RoamLink plan for a while, you can choose one of two options:
1. Standby ($10/month)
- Your plan moves to a Standby plan for $10/month instead of your normal rate.
- Your line stays active with a 5GB monthly data cap and speeds capped at 512kbps. That's enough for light things like remote monitoring of cameras, sensors or your router, but not for streaming or work.
- There is no time limit. You can stay on Standby as long as you need.
2. Cancel
- No monthly charge while you're away, and no fee to reactivate later.
- Your line is fully off, so there's no remote monitoring.
- If your plan has been discontinued since you signed up, you'll choose from our current plans and pricing when you come back.
Not sure which to pick? If you need your router reachable while the RV is parked, go with Standby. If you don't need any connection at all, cancelling is the cheaper choice and you can still come back anytime.
How to request Standby or cancellation
Email us at support@mobilemusthave.com. Depending on your plan type, we will send you a corresponding form to fill out. You must fill out the form to complete the process of cancelling your plan or putting it in standby.
Timing and billing
- Plans are prepaid, so we can't prorate. If you request Standby or cancellation partway through a billing cycle, the rest of that cycle isn't refunded.
- Plan ahead of your renewal date. We recommend submitting the form 2–3 days before your renewal date so the change is in place before the next charge.
- If you're not sure when your plan renews, contact us and we'll check for you.
- Banked data and top-up data are lost when a plan goes on Standby or is cancelled. Flex customers should use up any banked data before the change if they can.
Reactivating your plan
When you're ready to get back online, just reach out to us by email, chat or phone with the email address on your account. We'll submit the reactivation and email you once your line is back up.
- Requests received before 2:00 PM ET, Monday–Friday are usually reactivated the same day. Requests after that, or on a weekend, are handled the next business day.
- Planning a trip? Tell us the date you'd like service to start and we'll schedule the reactivation for then.
- There is no reactivation fee.
Do I need a new SIM card?
- RoamLink (physical SIM or eSIM): No. All RoamLink SIMs can be reused, so keep yours somewhere safe.
- Carrier-direct plans: Sometimes. T-Mobile-based plans need a new SIM if your SIM was shipped before March 2026. Verizon-based plans need a Verizon 5G SIM. AT&T-based plans always need a new SIM after deactivation. We'll let you know when you contact us.
What if my old plan was discontinued?
Some older plans, such as RoamLink M300, M500 and MUnlimited, are no longer sold. If you cancelled one of these, we can't restart it. Pick one of our current RoamLink plans, and once you've completed the purchase we can activate it on the SIM card you already have.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a "pause" option with no fee?
Not anymore. Current options are Standby ($10/month) or cancelling. Cancelling works like a free pause: there's no charge while you're away and no fee to come back.
Is there a limit on how long or how often I can use Standby?
No. You can use Standby as often and for as long as you need.
I submitted the form but my plan still shows as active.
Requests are processed by our team on the date you chose. You'll get a confirmation email once it's done. If your renewal date is coming up and you haven't heard from us, contact us.
