Removing your device from InControl

Modified on Mon, 6 Apr at 1:55 PM

Peplink devices can only be assigned to one InControl group at a time. At some point, you might have added it to your own InControl organization and need to remove it so you can add it to MMH's organization for easy eSIM activations or extra support from our staff. If this is the case, follow these steps to remove the device from your InControl org:

Click on your Group, under your devices click edit, then check the box next to the device.

Click the Actions drop-down button, then click Remove (screenshot below)

After clicking Remove, select the "...retain on device(s)" option and click OK. (screenshot below)

Lastly, whether you are activating an eSIM or getting support from MMH, please ensure that your device is connected to the internet via one of the following methods:
  1. If you have an activated data plan, you can install that SIM and set up that plan.
  2. If you have access to a home router, you can connect the Peplink to that via ethernet into the WAN port
  3. If you have access to a public WiFi or a phone hotspot, you can follow this guide to connect to that: Connection to an external Wifi source with Wifi-as-WAN

If you are activating an eSIM, please ensure your internet source is one other than the cellular modem you are uploading your new eSIM onto.
