  • P1000 Plan - Requested Swap by MobileMustHave

ONLY FOLLOW THIS ARTICLE IF YOUR PLAN PURCHASED EXACTLY MATCHES THE PLAN LISTED ABOVE

Summary

MobileMustHave has reached out to you regarding a new P1000 SIM card that we are upgrading you to. This guide is to assist you with connecting to your new P1000 Cellular Data Plan as some settings will need to be changed to have the modem negotiate with these networks.

An APN is like a username and must be updated to tell the carrier what network you should be on. Failing to update this will result in you not being able to connect. You must update these APN settings for your data plan to connect and function properly starting on May 1st.

Entering the APN

To enter the APN for your cellular data plan, you will first need to access the local admin panel for your device.

To do so, please use this guide: Accessing Peplink Admin Page

Once you have logged into the Peplink admin page, navigate to the Dashboard tab and select the cellular details button of the modem you wish to add this data plan to.

Click the cellular details button of the cellular modem you wish to change

From the pop-up window, scroll down to Cellular Settings, make sure to select the proper SIM slot A or B based on where your SIM card is located. Change the section corresponding to the correct SIM card

Select Custom under Operator Settings, which will allow you to type in the APN field the following text:

iot.tmowholesale

Save and Apply your changes at the bottom of the page. Your dashboard page should now refresh. Give your plan a few moments to connect.

(Optional) Bandwidth Allowance Monitoring

This step is optional, but if you would also like to set up bandwidth monitoring to automatically shut off your plan before you go over your usage, you can follow the steps at this link.  The data will reset on the 1st of each month regardless of your billing date. We suggest setting a limit of 950 (for P1000) so you know you have 50GB left of emergency data left if you hit the limit without knowing.
