Blu Tech Water Softener - Swapping from standard cap to SmartCap instructions:
1. Remove original cap + tube.
2. Inspect the grey upper strainer basket that connects the tube to the cap. You will need to rotate the grey strainer clockwise to remove it from the cap.
3. Once the upper strainer is loose, grab onto the cap and pull the tube downward away from the cap to disconnect it.
4. Grab your new Softener cap and place the white riser tube into the same hole in the new cap (this can take a little bit of strength or wiggling to get the tube all the way in).
5. Once the new tube is in, raise the upper strainer basket into the cap, and rotate counterclockwise until it locks into the new cap.
6. Now, you can insert the new cap + riser tube back into the threading of the softener canister by threading the new cap on clockwise.
Once completed, it's best to keep the old cap on hand, just in case.
